Just read this on another site:

(Quote) The Predator 3 is a Treasure Ace 300 made for Kellyco by Garrett to sell as a house brand. The only difference is the paint job and the two led's that light when the coil is swung over metal. TA 300 can be bought for less money from online dealers with free shipping, headphones and a couple of other freebies. The TA 300 has good discrimination, is easy to use and has reasonable depth for the price. It has no all metal pinpoint mode but the LED "TreasureEye" works pretty well once you've learned how to use it.

The Predators are just the old Garrett Treasure Ace 100/200/300's sold under a private license agreement with Kellyco. They have been around for years. I field tested the 300 many years ago. You'd be better off picking up a 250. Much better, much newer technology.

Yeah it was a Garrett made for Kellyco. Bought one as soon as they came out; didn't like it and sold it as soon as I could. It's a good starter machine and I was hoping for more. Also, the entire stem from the housing to the coil on mine was plastic; kinda had a cheap feel to it. Agree with Uncle Willy, I've heard the 250 is a much better machine.

Yeah the Predator is old machine, old technology. I wasn't crazy about it when I field tested it years ago.
