Saturday nights we are always short handed since we lost one of our fellow floor crew members (he was fired - made too much money I think is the real reason). Anyway here's the scoop (1) I have only about an hours sleep since we went out to eat with family friends (so I'm tired even before going in), trying to sleep on a full stomach after eating Mexican food has resulted in not being able to sleep from the heartburn and nausia and (3) appear to have a pinched nerve in my lower back so even rolling over in bed hurt my lower back (had this for a couple days now but worse now that all this is tossed in together. (The rolling and tossing due to the stomach and heartburn problem just agravated the back even worse. Can't call in sick because (1) we are short handed and can't expect 2 guys to do the job of 4 and (2) I can't give the company 24 hour notice so if I fail to go in I could be 'counselled' resulting in me not being able to transfer to another store within 6 months and it would affect whether I get my next pay raise or not.
