Need some advice from the forum.....

Okay...kinda new to these higher end detectors ( and yes a x-Terra 505 is a major step up from my old whites idx classic I've had for the past 10 years ) I would like some advice from you x-Terra pros. Kinda torn on what my next accessory should be ...keeping in mind my budget only allows for one with the other one being a couple 2 or 3 months down the road.
A quality set of headphones Grey Ghost, Sun ray Pro or Black widow etc..... or
A higher freq. coil?
I have the Koss headphones that came with the detector but only have the stock coil.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Fine choice of detector...you should do well
Koss are quality and should serve you well.
I would suggest a Garrett Pro Pointer hand held pinpointer next
...then a 5x10" 18.75 Khz DD coil - others may disagree as we all have our coil type / size favourites

that's good advice...The gray ghost's are my standard, but if you have a quality pair already the pro pointer is your next purchase.... I have both the 3 and 18.75khz 6inch coils, The 9 inch 3 and 7.5khz coils. The one that stays on my 705 is the 5X10 18.75. I use the 6 inch 18.75 in trashy areas. To be honest i have not given the 3 khz 6 inch coil time on the 705.
