Need some help, erratic interference

Jeff in Pa

Well-known member
I am getting ALOT of interference from both the 9 and 11 inch LF coils. These are the only coils I have. Everything was fine until I updated to 5.2. I have updated other Deus that I've owned, 5 different ones. Doing the update is easy and I never had a problem till now. I have tried 5.2, 2.0 and 3.2 several times. I am on 3.2 right now and if I cut the sensitivity way back it will calm down but trust me I've never had to lower it into the 60's. I went so far as to delete the coils and re-add them. This happens with any combination of each coil, remote and WS4 or just use either one by itself.
Any ideas I have not thought of would be great.

Thanks in advance for all help.

That is a head scratcher Jeff. Seeing that you have used every combination of coils, controllers and software, and it is still bad, it might be some weird environmental factor. Maybe check to see if one of your neighbors has recently bought a centrifuge and some yellow cake ore. Kidding aside, It's hard to imagine what V 5.2 did to cause that mess. Also, it's not like you had some other setting besides Sensitivity out of whack, because you reinstalled the software several times and wiped any save programs out. I can't even guess what the issue might be???

Well this is going to sound even Stranger but I think it's fixed. I decided to install 5.1. I had not tried any of the 4. Or 5.0 or 5.1. I am now able to raise the sensitivity much high before I get to the point where my depth goes the opposite of what we look for.
Hopefully it stays "fixed" for now.
Thanks

Not strange at all Jeff, mine did this too when i first went to v5. The kikker was that it was super sensitive even at 65 sensitivity. The next day it was normal and has been since.

I would have mine on the XY screen and the line was just going in all directions, circling, just going crazy and there was no stopping it. At least now I just have the normal chatter but the XY screen remains a DOT in the center.

how strange. i wonder why it would be better in 5.1 and not in 5.2. i guess it's the crazy world of high tech

Mine did it a day or so after i got my x35 11x13 coil. Naturally i thought the coil was at fault. One thing i noticed is that it would slam very deep targets in my test garden at 65 sensitivity that were normally a struggle at 95%??? If i remembered correctly i did reload the v5 software (i think it was v5.1 at the time). I have never had the issue since, it is like v5 has a super power glitch when first loaded. Truth be told if our machines would have stayed that was we would have the deepest deus' on the planet at 65% sens. ! Is the xy still not appearing correct? We should meet up someday, Happy Thanksgiving!!

The XY screen is showing that it sees a target but it just the a dot centered in the screen. I did pull the coil covers on both coils, it does it with or without the cover.

My comment was aimed at seeing if your XY screen stayed a dot at a zoom setting. I only use zoom in one program (6x zoom) I made that concentrates on our 50 cent, $1 and $2 coins. Even though the coins should show a straight line a fresh drop coin in the grass can have the line jump at the 6x zoom.

Hi Jeff
That's a tricky one, sorry to hear you are having problems.
First perhaps try a frequency change, or offset change.
If still no better re install 5.2.
Many thanks Gary
