Forgot about this thing I found at the 1788 house. Not sure what it is or would be used for. Any ideas??? Dana
 
I really have no idea but seem to recall that old shades would have a item at the bottom to hook them to keep them from rolling back up. Just a wild guess.
 
Looks like the hanger for a bucket. The part that attaches the wire handle to the bucket.
