negative disc

I updated my Deus and noticed the negative disc feature, any idea how and what its used for? Any help would be appreciated.

I have asked an no one can answer the same question...Why negative on the disc. I would think it maybe better suited for England and coke and pottery???

I was told from Garry B. And Andy S. that it is used to find old home sites across the pond. Negative Disc. Will pick up pottery and ceramics which will help them locate an old home. Kind of like us
