NEL Coils For The T2

Anyone use the 5" or the 5x9 DD? I've had the larger one for the Minelabs that I've had and was not too impressed with them. On another note, the 13" Ultimate coils are great and lighter than the NEL 12x13 coils!!!.........Mark

I use the NEL Sharpshooter 9.5''x5.5'' coil and it has not come off the T2 since i put it on a couple of months back,i personally prefer it over the stock coil anyday its very stable,much sharper signal wise and i honestly dont think it looses much if any dept wise,one thing i do like about itis the fact that the shaft connects onto the middle of the coil which although is only a small detail it does make it swing better without being nose heavy.

The coil quality is generally very good,one thing i did find tacky was the label which i think has a low grade glue to stick it onto the coil,but i just pulled it off and i think it looks better without it anyway.

Regarding the 5'' coil,i dont have a need to buy one as i use the Teknetics one which is very good,it may be good but i cannot se the need to duplicate it when i have the Teknetics one all ready.

I have the sharpshooter also but on an etrac and its a really nice coil. Its not as light as the joey but its not heavy at all, glad I got it.
