:nerd::nerd: Could You All Post (with pic if possible) Any Gold Finds Found So Far This Year With Your Garrett:nerd: :nerd:

There seems to be a large number of gold finds coming up this year. For example, old gold coins, gold hockey player, jewelry and even nuggets. I would like to have a draw (gold find contest maybe?) at the end of the season for something different this year. The nice thing about gold finds, is that they can show up anywhere...tot lots, parks, beach, water, sports fields, natural gold producing areas etc. With gold running at about $1,000/Ounce, it would make sense that more people are searching for it. Could you please also state where you got it, but don't be specific to protect your locations. Also, it has been asked many times by people...."where is the best place to find gold?"

I can't find any! I go to parks, schools etc...........put the ace 250 in jewelry mode and dig all signals and I got pounds and pounds of trash to show for it

NO GOLD !!!

These are my gold finds for this year found with the ACE250. They all rang in around nickel/pulltab range and were found in the last 3 month's.

The OSU ring is 10K and was found about 4 inches down on the sideline of a soccer field.

The hockey player and earring are each 14k and were found in chips in playgrounds.

I found it at the bottom of a sledding hill right after the snow melted.
It was just on the surface with some dead grass on it. It rang up as a solid penny on my Ace 250.

I found this one at a tot-lot by the swings.
It was just under the surface of the wood chips. It rang up as a solid nickle on my Ace 250.

at least that's what I think. Terry, goes4ever thinks it was solid. I found it with him at the house in the ghostown.

hi goes4ever talk to any one who finds gold on a regular bases and they"ll tell ya it"s all about observation patience and luck. observe were people who wear gold are most likely to lose it eg wile playing sports, mum & dads pushing kids on swings at tot lots, family pick nick areas, and no1 rule for detectorists areas were people are doing activity's in the cold, swimming, snow stuff because nothing makes rings drop of like the cold. patience = digging heaps of trash form tinfoil to penny on the ace250 and some gold (chains & small rings) even hit in the iron-tinfoil segment i usually dig 2000+ targets to every gold ring so i hit areas that are easy to dig. i run the ace at 7-8 sensitivity in tot lots & 6 in the grass in all metal if a target is bouncing between iron & tinfoil i scrape off the surface with my foot if the tone drops to solid iron i leave it if it comes up to solid tinfoil i dig. luck- as if to make all the statements i"v just made rubbish luck plays a huge part in finding gold i spent 4 years looking for my first gold ring in all the right places and not finding it and now that i don't care if i find one or not i find usually 1-2 bits of gold a month. and there are just some lucky S.O.Bs who find gold all the time without even trying !!!!! so be the ring
hopes this helps you and others lose there gold virginity.

Hi Goes4ever !

My guess is you just haven't swung over any gold yet......not your fault or the Ace's.....just the "luck of the draw". Keep trying and eventually you will succeed !

Al pieces are 14K. All clear stones are diamonds (checked with jeweler). The big ring with diamonds was found on January 1, 2008.

These are the same old pics I've already posted of the 5 best gold items I've found in 2008. All from parks, fields, or schools. There are 5 other gold items including 2 rings, a piece of a pendant , and a pair of earrings that I did not include pics of. Over 1/2 ounce of pure gold. I had a serious silver coin streak and gold jewelry drought going at the start of the year. Now I'm on a serious gold jewelry streak and silver coin drought. Since I am happy finding a few (or many) clad coins it's all good to me.

Chris

In order of my fav to my least fav. I really hate that last 10k and diamond ring!
