Never Been a Garrett Fan But...

DiggerDug

After long consideration and research I purchased a AT Pro friday. I have mostly hunted with Tesoros which I consider to be great detectors. But I have to admitt from the first time I held the AT Pro it just felt right. Some of my detecting friends have used them on some of our hunts and did quite well. The main apprehesion about purchasing the AT was all the bugs it had when it first came out. But quality doesn't seem to be an issue anymore so I decided to bite the bullet and buy one, and I am very glad I did. I took the AT out this morning for the first time. I normaly go to the beach every sunday morning. I didn't fing much value wise but in just a few hours I have gotten pop tops figured out! Man this detector is great. I am learning realy fast the it's nuances. I run it in Pro mode zero iron disc set between 30-35. Ground balancing was easy too. I just auto balanced in a snap. To sum up my first experience with the AT Pro I am very pleased with this detector. And I have to say Garrett you have a new fan. Rock on Charles!

I was the same way - love my Cibola but the AT Pro is a lot of detector for the money. It's got to be the most versatile detector at this price point.

I do like the versatility of the Atpro!
