Never ceases to amaze me...

just when your eyeballs are out of the water (having been in over ones head) something new comes up. Just got a bill from the fire department for their services...thought property taxes paid for that..guess I'm wrong. The bill was even more than the charge for the electrical work.

I've been told that if a fire ever starts to get out and let it burn. People are better off after a fire than they were before. So our insurance won't cover any of this since we have $500 deductible and since we didn't get a bill from the fire department in a timely manner (and is now over $500) the claim has already been closed. So were looking at paying around $600 now for both the electrical repairs and the fire department response. Now if we had just moved the animals outside away from the problem with the hot electrical and let it burn to the ground the insurance would be paying us almost $80,000 to restart our lives. Go figure. Oh well life goes on and if we didn't have the Lord on our side our outlook would be extremely negative.
Thank you God for meeting our needs...I speak this in faith in Jesus name.

you put your money down on the table (policy)and you hope you never need it but if you do this is the where you are supposed to win the gambling...by filing a claim you would win 'some of your money back' you have paid in all those years.

The insurance company gambles that you will not file any claims and they get to keep ALL your money.

Usually what happens is what you said..you don't win any back and instead you have to pay more.

Just like the casino - the machines (insurance system) is programmed so you are the loser!

No win situation for us and ALWAYS win situation for the insurance companies.

I dropped my dental insurance some time back when I found out they wouldn't pay for my complete dental work and the premiums were more than they gave. Maybe one needs to think about other insurances also. Health innsurance is something else tho. I had a 75 thousand dollar operation 3 years ago, heart bypass , that I couldn't have covered. Steve in so az
