Never let a person with a soft heart look at pictures of animals at an animal shelter...

Whenever we travel and pass a Humane Society place or Animal Control location I jokingly tell Sherry it is a pity they had to close the place and all the animals have been moved to some other county.

Here is why:

Yes, we have 3 dogs, and a house bunny. All three of our dogs came are rescue dogs. We just got a new pug the other day.

Yeh, you and Sherry are both weak when it comes to the animals and etc. Has Sherry ever written for a newspaper as she is a good writer of a very interesting story? I hope and pray all turns out okay and it sounds like it will; therefore, May God Bless and enjoy all your pets! Amen! Ma Betty

.............He sure does rule the house, and our HEARTS....................

Yes, he is your child and your love takes care of him and he loves you in return! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

All except a very few are rescues. 2 parrots came from Massachusetts from a woman who could no longer keep them. 2 cockatiels had to be given up by their owner as he had a disease that was putting him into a health care home and the birds had to go. We had one we called Vic...he was (along with his owner) being evicted from their residence...on the coldest day of the winter a few years ago. He did not live long but he had a great life for what was to be the rest of his life. We had one, though we bought him at a store, rescued him from the mistreatment he was getting there. He and one of the other rescues were the same (Conures) and they became residents of the same cage and cared for each other. Our dogs...3 of 4 were rescues too. In a way I guess we can say we also rescued Sherry's daughter and soon to be born son...she left home to live with someone else. They got married. She got pregnant and about a week before the baby was born he left to live with some other woman...and Sherry's daughter was in the hospital to give birth and the low life 'husband' never got a place for her to live or moved her things....they were being evicted as well. He found a place for himself. She lives with us and her child does too. We have been blessed by God to have had so many pets to care for and love and to be loved by them. We said we would never get any more pets but as you see Sleepee (the big black cat) is here to stay too.
