Now I think we've heard it all! Read below the bulletin sent to all dealers served by my supplier.
I think the CARB (California Air Resources Board) has more "rank" air quality issues to deal with than what is emitted from a toilet seat. How about doing something about the air quality from using a toilet seat? Particularly those used in Alabama and Wisconsin, not to mention Virginia, Louisiana, and Kentucky.
New Regulations on toilet seats in California
California's Air Resources Board (CARB) has enacted an airborne toxic control measure ("ATCM") which establishes strict formaldehyde emission standards for composite wood products (i.e. hardwood plywood, particle board and medium density fiberboard) and finished goods that contain composite wood products. This regulation will impact everyone who sells or uses composite wood products in the State of California.
