New Compadre.

I went to a metal detecting dealer over the week end. I come home with another compadre. My wife said what is that one for. I will take back to the Philippines with me. I think that is a good answer. I will play with it to make sure it is OK. Than send it in to get adjusted real good before we go back. I noticed the disc knob is off a little compared to my other one. Im sure it can be readjusted & tuned up. Nickles go out just above iron. I know that aint right. It is working good if you don't look at the knob...KEN

The knobs can be loosened and reset a smidge if you feel the need. I've done that on several detectors. One trick I like that has little to do with the markings on the disc is to throw a nickel on the ground and set the disc to just under where the nickel still gives a good tone without crackling out, then go detect.

Thanks BarberBill. I guess I didn't think of that . You know, all the years iv hunted and adjusted knobs, I just didn't think of it. I will look at it to see if I can adjust it. Thanks.. KEN
