New convert to the FT products has a question

After a long time using Tesoro products, I happened upon an F5 in a trade for a Vaquero I wasn't using. I thought, what the heck, I'll try it out. To make a long story short, I don't own any Tesoro products anymore but I have the F5 and a T2. It's like I just time traveled into the 21st century!

Anyway, my question is this: Having an F5 and a T2, is there a place for an F70 in my arsenal? What would the F70 do for me that either of my machines wouldn't? I ask because I have an opportunity to get a used one, but I'm not sure if it would be redundant.

Get the F70 and sell the F5.

Then, after a few months, sell the T2 and the F70 and get the new Fisher flagship. It won't be the F75 LTD at that time.

F70 is a small step below a F75 I know it has better depth than my F5..but not as much fun.(Had a F70) . If you can get it cheap enough,go for it only then will you KNOW.

at this time the T-2's are temporarily in short supply and higher demand (some dealers are actually advertising that they want them specifically) which is starting to affect used prices in a positive direction. I'd be more apt to move the T-2 and look for a nice used F-75 which are more abundant and relatively lower priced. Or if you wanted to spend a little more money, try and find a used LTD

I personally traded off my F70, not because it was no good, but because it was so much like the F75 & T2 that it was relegated to third string.....
The T2 is the clear winner in iron, & that was the unit I was grabbing most of the time as most of my sites like cellar holes are all nails.
Not to dissuade you from an F-series unit, but since you are looking for used, I think you might want to look at a "classic" Fisher to complete the line up. That way you have a 3rd option that's alot different. I still carry CZ's & a Coinstrike in the stable as they are great coinshooters & the CZ's rule the beaches. I miss my CZ-70 & CZ-20 What a mistake to let them go.....

Serious question Bill... how is the T2 advantageous over the F75 in iron? I've never swung a T2 as I don't understand the advantage having an increased range for iron resolution.

Thanks you for the responses. Bill's comment that it was so much like the F75 and T2 is interesting. That's kind of what I suspected. I think perhaps the F5 and T2 are different enough (yet both awesome) to make it interesting no matter which one I choose to use on a particular day.

You may want to get a used F75 it is a lot better..I think then the F70 you can get them used the F75 I liked even better then the T2
