new detector

hello im looking for a new detector i have a whites but how are thee minelab 505 or fisherf5 for coins and rings things like that i go to the beach and parks alot any ideas

Welcome to the X-Terra forum. Good to hear your considering a 505 for your coin and jewelry hunts. If you'd let us know what model of White's you're currently using, we would be better able to make the "comparisons" and explain the differences between the three models. You have to realize, however, that most of us here are pretty satisfied with our X-Terras. As such, you're likely going to get some "satisfied X-Terra user" comments. Oh, we'll be honest. But realize you are asking this from folks who understand the capabilities of their X-Terras and have proven to themselves that most other detectors fail in comparison. HH Randy

Well I have had my X-Terra for 2 1/2 years. I really enjoy it. Very user friendly, light, and a coin getter for sure. Check out the FAQFAQ at thetop of the site and do some reading. They are a great unit, Beale.
