New Deus grabs a few treasures

I parked the E-trac and am now running with the Deus. This morning was my first time out (except the yard) and I hit a local school/park combo. Last night I made a program from what I learned here on the Deus forum. 8 kHz, Disc @7, tones @5, reactivity @ 0, Sens @ 90. Trash was present but not too bad. I started off digging a few trash items near the surface, then a coin, then another. I listened carefully for those repeating faint signals that may be a deeper item. The silver earring was about 6 inches in depth and repeated well (I was surprised). The non precious (darn) ring was just under the surface and the wheat penny was about 5" deep. I was pretty happy with these results for my first time out with the Deus. I certainly don't miss those pesky null moments and ghost signals of the etrac, nor the sore back from swinging a 5lb detector. Now.. where to go tonight???

Looks like you are getting the hang of the Deus in short order . . . . keep posting what you pull up!

As you said, the weight - or lack of it - really makes it hard to go back to almost anything else . . . .
