A couple of months ago, our digital 8 movie camera died. They wanted $175 to fix it. Digital 8 is probably going to be on the way out so it didn't make much sense to pay that much to fix it. However, we have a bunch of tapes we never put on a DVD. Saturday, I was looking at Ebay and found the same exact model I had (used "only twice"
) At the time, the bid was $41 with 2 hours to go. Hmmmm. I used "Glixen" a "snipe", where you put in the max that you would want to pay for it. As the seconds ticked away toward the end of the bidding, I refreshed the screen to see the bids going up. 10 second after the last bid of $58.95, my bid won for $59.95 (I had a max bid in for $65. Just got an email from the seller that it got mailed today. Pretty cool! Now I can start making vids once the ground thaws
