Ordered my Eurotek Pro this morning and it will be on the big brown truck tomorrow. Super fast service....thanks Tom !
I prefer concentric coils so I got the 8" version. I'm very anxious to get it out in the iron and see what it can pick out of the trash for me.
I'm not expecting this to be a miracle machine, especially for the price, but if it works half as well as advertised I will be happy.

My main detectors are the Fisher CZ5 and Tesoro Vaquero and I love them both....deep coins have a hard time hiding from these detectors.
Sometimes a simple turn on and go machine with good depth and good discrimination is just a fun way to spend the day coin hunting.
From the limited videos and reviews on the Eurotek Pro it seems to be a solid performer at a very reasonable price. More to come after getting some hunting in with the new detector....HH

Even though I haven't had a chance to try mine out yet on a real hunt, I have a feeling its going to be a good detector from the little bit I have played with it in my yard. It seems to be well made, the id is accurate and the iron feature works great. It very well could be just the detector you need for hunting in the iron. Let us know how it does for you Roger.

My Eurotek Pro just got unboxed and assembled. Man, it sure comes in a tiny box....smaller than Tesoro boxes for sure.
I just air tested a nickel and it hit it solid at a very good distance. I will test a few coins and get some air test measurements in a minute.
My first impressions are it looks very nice, feels solid with no shaft wobble, very light weight, extremely simple set up and operation.
One thing I see so far that I don't care for is the arm cup seems to taper from front to back and my arm doesn't just fall right into place. Guys with
bigger forearms might find it doesn't fit them just right..... reversing the arm cup would make it a tad wider at the back where it is needed and may fit better.

I will post some air tests on a few coins in a little bit. I know it really doesn't mean much, but if it air tests good it should get good depth in the real world.
So far I'm very happy with the detector.....now if it doesn't start raining I will take it on a hunt to see what it can do. Back later with a few air test results.

The in ground depth holds pretty close to the air tests....not exact but not a huge loss. My area is moderately mineralized...if this was an omega say....the GB would be 84 and the FeO meter would be 3 bars lit.

Also...on the arm cup....one complaint I have is for petes sake include the arm strap...seriously...it is an EXTRA...cmon....makes you look cheap. Pathetic to have to buy that as an add on....what are you saving.....65 cents,

azsh07, I have good ground here in Illinois so I may see a tad more depth.
I have to agree about the arm cup strap, it should be included even though I would probably never use it.
I doubt it even cost 65 cents for the arm strap.....I guess they have to make a profit someplace...

Some people say that air tests don't mean anything but we all do it. I know an air test doesn't tell you anything that is set in stone but it gives one an idea of how a detector is going to perform. I would be very interested in your coin air tests results. When the rain stops I will do an air test on my Eurotek Pro w/11" coil. Also curious of how it does in your iron & nail spot.

Well, wouldn't you know it....a new detector and if freekin rains........may still go out in my yard and try it. I have one spot that must have been the location of an old shed....iron every place.
Anyways I did some air tests inside right beside my computer wi fi connection and my cell phone was laying on my desk.....no problem at all with EMI, detector was very quiet.
My settings were sensitivity 10, discrimination 0, volume 10 Some coins fluctuated a number or 2 sometimes but I used the numbers that repeated most often. Here is what I came up with:

My thoughts on the detector......Seems to like nickels so it may do well on gold jewelry.
Detector was stable inside near WI FI and my cell phone........no chatter at max sens.
The 8 inch coil has a heavier duty cable on it than the Delta had if I remember correctly.
On sens level 11 iron had a very faint signal to let you know its there but target still sounds loud and clear. Very nice feature.
Target volume is nice and loud and the tone sounds good to my ears. VCO tone does take some getting used to.
Volume set to 10 gives full target sound but totally eliminates the iron signal. Iron icon still flashes to let you know you are over iron. Very nice feature, will cut down on fatigue of listening to constant barrage of iron in a trashy site.
From volume setting 11 - 19 iron gets increasingly louder the higher the number until level 20 and iron then sounds the same as the target in loudness. Nice feature that gives you the option to hear less iron and more target signal.
My only dislike is the arm cup. It is slightly tapered from front to back and my arm didn't drop right into the arm cup without a little effort. I may have the arm cup backwards and am going to turn it around and see if that helps putting the widest part forward.
Other than the minor arm cup thing I think Teknetics did a good job on this detector. It looks good, feels nicely balanced, very easy to operate the controls, settings click nice and crisp with the push buttons, coil wire looks beefed up, nice big easy to read display and adjustments.
Depth seems to be very good for a detector in the price range. Signals did not jump all over the place even while air testing inside my house. Most other digital detectors would be all over the place on the VDI when testing inside. The real test will be in the dirt, but I think the detector might do a very good job there. I'm impressed with the over all package of the Eurotek Pro. Looks like a lot of bang for your hard earned buck for someone wanting a good detector that is just getting into the hobby or for the veteran who just might want a capable turn on and go detector for a fun day of hunting.......HH

Thanks for the post Roger, I have my clad coin air tests posted on the Lets Have Some thread. You mentioned - On sens level 11 iron had a very faint signal to let you know its there but target still sounds loud and clear. I believe that you meant 10 as it only goes up to 10.
