I just got a new EXP II lower rod [carbon fiber] to put on my EXP xs.... what I had to do to get the coil wire which has about 8 inches of CURLED wire thru the new rod is difficult because of the diameter.....I had to tie a long shoe lace around the wire plug..... thread it thru the rod strected straight and pull the coil wire thru the new rod tightly until it came thru to the other end..........then I hooked it up to the control box......
now the rod is locked in BUT it is only 90% TIGHT!!......there is a little twisting play in the rod the round rod can turn inside the square EXP xs rod.... and if you assert some firm downward pressure on the coil it will collapse the rod smaller.....has anyone experienced this? .....maybe its because its a Exp II rod on an Exp xs? is there a fix?
its works but it aint perfect....
