New Explorer SE

I just purchased a new Explorer SE and hope to add to the great finds always
posted on this forum. I do have a couple of questions. How does the SE compare
to the Sov GT on the beach? Also, I got a new Sunray probe mounted to an extra
shaft with it, I have a Garrett Pro pointer that I like a lot and was wondering if it's worth
it to keep the Sunray? Any benefit over the Garrett? I was going to sell the Sunray
and keep the weight of the SE down. Thanks for any info.

Depending on what sensitivity the site is able to be detected at, you sometimes get a more depth/distance on the Garrett. The best thing about the sunray is it's still "detecting" so if you open the hole and suddenly the tone is different, you can make a better decision to continue digging or not. It's also still in your headphones. If you're young, you'll get used to the weight. Propointer is a cheaper solution if you have multiple 'tectors though.
