As the good captain said, it would SEEM that you have them knocked out. Or perhaps what you meant was that you aren't getting the signals on the DEEP in the ground ones that your buddy does? Maybe you need to raise your sensitivity.

Bullets will come in the range of a zinc penny or close to it. So if you can get a penny with it you should get a musketball or minnieball. Buttons will be lower in the scale and could be missed in some cases if you are running a coin pattern.

We really need more info.

Try this run factory settings, then change to iron-mask -29 and make sure your sensitivity is on manual. Adjust your sensitivity as high as you can go without falseing. Unless your SE is broke, you will hear those targets.

My friend has a MXT, White which he is kicking my Ass in finding Buttons & Bullets...
The new Explorer SE is the one to Kick Ass...
I am hearing not that many high pitch sounds....
Please let me know if I need to replace this machine or get a different one?

PS I have been war relics hunting for years.......

i just got my se & it seems to me maybe not a Relic machine but i do need to learn it but on air test not as deep as my cz but again i have to spend some time with it first but it seems to not like bullets it sure like silver & gold im taking it sat or sun relic hunting hope its a keeper & also whats the drif bewteen the aus coil & us coil ??? will the aus coil good deeper?

OK lets see, try taking it off ferrous. This will let you hear the Iron targets better. A lot of old buttons have Iron backs!!!!. Some may be made out of pewter and hit lower left on the screen.

Bullets will hit mostly on the right side of the axis, (the far right of the screen) a little bit lower or close to a modern penny I believe. Some larger ones will hit top center. Try conductive and I think you'll be surprised.

Bucking ball 10/3
Confederate 3 ringer 7/23
50 cal round ball 7/24
Small Yankee Eagle I button 10/3
so that will get you started.
Hope this helps. Dug them with my Shadow X5. That is what they read with my SE. Have not been Relic hunting with the SE yet but I will. Later Jerry aka Tinfoil

The relic's you are wanting are going to be a lower pitch, not a high pitch like coins. Open up the screen so it's all white with nothing blacked out then ask your MXT friend to let you borrow the buttons and bullets and you will hear and see what you have not been digging. I once had a MXT and sold it because it didn't have the depth of the Explorer. Some day you will get into a site that has coins very deep that the MXT can not hear them or I.D. as well as the Explorer.
