New Goldscan 5C vs. older Goldscan 5?

ag4mc

New member
I was wondering what the differences are between the new Goldscan 5C and the older Goldscan 5.
I have a Goldscan 5 that I mainly use for beach detecting (and a little gold prospecting)...can this be upgraded to the 5C?

Also, what is the Afterburner?

Thanks,
Mike

I certainly would like to sell you a new 5C, but to be truthfully, your better off keeping your GS5 that you have.

It's not that there hasn't been a lot of improvements in performance with the GS5c, but using it mainly for beach hunting the improvements would be costly, weighed against the gains. The 5c has more sensitivity, it's quieter, the ground balance has a wider range, it has a improved ID capability, and it's lighter with a improved battery system.

The older model would not be upgradable to 5c specs.
