New goodies from CW relic hunting...FIRST SILVER!

Well I got to bed around 130amEST, after returning from CW relic hunting in south central Kentucky, and here is what I found. My 11" DD coil was acting strange too. Ugh. BUT I found my FIRST SILVER---WOOT! It is an 1840-O Half Dime (No drapery for you coin nuts) in very good condition(I think) It was literally under 2" of dirt, right underneath a newly planted corn stalk, and it read foil at first, but a solid sound to it, it ended up showing 71 on the Omega. It was dropped by a rebel soldier during the battle of Perryville. One thing to notice (my first one to date) is in the upper left hand corner of the picture as it is a "hot rock". Those hot rocks read bullet when hunting! WEIRD

That kicks as* for your first silver! I have dug many seated dimes and a few quarters but never a half dime. Good job. I sent you an email.

Thanks sekypaleo! Have a nice time at the gap! Wish I was going with you!
