New hobby- first time detecting - new x-terra 705

Porthbay

New member
I read the manual, watched the videos on this site then off I went to South Beach, Bridlington , UK. Wet and dry sand, mostly wet. It was foggy as well, but I couldn't find the setting for that on the machine. I found a few things shown in the photo. The fact that I found a one pound coin means that I have already paid for 0.16% of the cost of the 705. ( always assuming I have done my sums right!). You can see that I found the fishing reel and the lead weight. Next time I go I am hoping for a few hooks and a fishing rod. Who knows?

Not bad for first itme out....you will be amazed, and continue to be amazed at what you find from time to time. Good luck, and hope you continue to enjoy your new hobby. HH

Its a very good detector. Owned mine now for a bit over a year now. Its light, easy to use, and you wont lose yourself in menu's. And it is deep seeking and accurate. Now down in Florida and plan on trying it out on the beaches and see what I find. Its supposed to be great on the beach so looking forward to it. :beers:

[size=medium]Go on with this hobby and soon sent us photos of good hunts.
