Fred's post (below) caused the mess below. <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">
New Knees
At 56, I'ma countin' them up
My knees sho hurt, these days,
But when I git to heaven
I'll be new in ev'ry way.
Caint wait fir a new set of knees
Sos I can frolic and bend again,
But until that day comes along,
I'll try to keep on the mend.
There's another season around the corner
and that's what I'm hankerin' fir,
I'm one up on Lil Brother fir now
And that's the way to keep it, fir shur. <img src="/metal/html/biggrin.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":D">
So Lord let me keep a-goin
For just a little longer, I pray,
That I might do a little huntin'
And praise you along the way.
And when it's time to go,
I'll fret the least you see,
Cause among other things you've made,
There's a new set o' knees awaitin' just fir me!
If there's a turkey or two in heaven
And hill and dale abound,
With new knees under me sho 'nuff,
I can put ole' longbeard down!
But until that day comes about,
I'll hunt, still among the earthly rocks
Just, be patient and give me strengh,
And a never-ending supply of Viox!*

On those days when I am particularly bad, it is a reassuring thought that there is a good light at the end of the tunnel.........and it is not just another train!! <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

When I get to Heaven, Ill have new ears,(hopefully ones that dont stick out like the ones I have now), new eyes and Ill be able to breathe without the use of a breathe right strip.
Gods word tells me that Ill have a glorified body,ROMANS 8:18-19
It was hard for me to imagine that, this morning when I looked in the mirror!
Something else! I John 2:6 says well "walk like him" (Jesus)
We will both be on an even keel in Heaven, brother! It shouldnt hurt to through in a little "request" when we say our prayers, for turkeys in Heaven! Amen.
Lil Brother <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)"> <img src="/metal/html/smile.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":)">

i am just grateful that i was not born into a "Catholic" family <img src="/metal/html/shocked.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":shock"> my knees would have been even worse <img src="/metal/html/lol.gif" border=0 width=15 height=15 alt=":lol">

I'll be down on my new knees praising Him right along with you. My John will be there, too, listening to the voices of the Heavenly choir with his new ears, and we will all be seeing our Savior with our new eyes. We will all be CHANGED, in the twinkling of an eye when the Trumpet sounds! Praise the Lord! And we might even be favored with the sight of our ever loyal and loving animal friends, too. After all the Good Book says,
Ecc. 3:18- <FONT COLOR="#ff0000">"Concerning the condition of the sons of men, God tests them, that they may see that they themselves are like animals. 19. For what happens to the sons of men also happens to animals; one thing befalls them: as one dies, so dies the other. Surely, they all have one breath;</FONT> (<SMALL>Hebrew - Ruwach

I've read the Bible through but didn't recall that passage.
Thanks again, Ms. Mary.
