Hi All, I just bought my first metal detector, a Tesoro Silver Sabre umax. So far I found about $2 in change at local tot lots, trying to figure out how to use the detector. I meet a guy from this forum yesterday at one of the lots and he told me this is the best MD forum there is. Does anyone have any tips on using the Sabre umax. I also use a White's 120mm Bullseye. where would you recommend setting the disc at?

Wave a paper clip in front of the coil so you hear a signal. Turn the discrimination up untill it doesn't pick it up and your good to go.

Gotta agree though..The SOV is a great detector ... Not to mention Ron is One of the good guys. Very knowledgeable about detecting.
