I just want to say hi to everybuddy. My question is i am going to buy a new detector in a couple of days. I had the explorer 11 for 6 years and it found me allot of old coins and relics and still works good. But i want to upgrade to something new. I am thinking about the SE pro or etrack . Most of the places i hunt are real trashy. Would the etrack work better in trashy areas then the SE pro. Your feedback would be welcome. Thanks explorerjim

I tell you Jim the Explorer II is a great machine in its own right. If you have the Pro or SEF coil im not sure upgrading to the SE will give you much... just money out of your pocket. The Etrac is a different design with some great features. You need to get together with one of your local hunters or clubs so you can get your hands on one or the other. Personally, if i was going to change, id keep the explorer II and maybe pick up a F70 or 75 for those places hard to hunt where you need a faster processor... and it would deffently give you something new to learn.

If you are proficient with the Explorer, I would just add the Pro coil as an upgrade. I have the E-Trac, and like the interface a little better than the Explorer (I have the SE). I do not feel that the E-Trac has that much of an edge over the Explorer with the Pro coil in the hands of an experienced user.

In other words, there's probably not much (if anything) you missed the first time around with the Explorer that the E-Trac will get for you. That's just my two cents based on my experiences with both machines. The Pro coil is the real winner, I think, and well worth the $200.

I have the Explorer II and I upgraded to the Pro coil. So far I'm lovin it!!! Way Cheaper than buying a new SE
Jim in Ma.

I have owned the E-Trac and still own the E2 and the SE.

I keep going back to the E2 with the Pro Coil. Great set up!!

O........ Ron you know you love the E-TRAC...I saw it stuck in your back pocket....when you where hunting with the Se...I saw you pull it out just to check your targets!!!!
