New owner of Excal need help

Fishfinder

I have been detecting for a while but first time with charable batteries. When you hunt in the water all day do you always plug in to recharge every time you go out or do you wait till battery is low. Thanks

Depends on battery type. if it is a newer detector (Excal II) or newer battery pack with NiMH batteries, then the batteries really don't develop a memory and I would recharge after each use. If it is an older detector with an older battery pack containing NiCad batteries, then they should be pretty well run down before recharging. The NiCad batteries develop a memory and if recharged with a lot of charge still in them, they loose capacity.
Cheers,
tvr
