New PI Discriminator

I thought this might be of interest to some of you. Accurate Locators is advertising a PI that discriminates. They call it the Discriminator. Apparently discriminates iron by haveing an in built magnetometer. Mark
 
Hi, we make discriminating PIs using configuration 08, transmitting coil round and receiving shaped like eight. In the received signal there is a range of signal depending on permeability of the target. Sid

They have a website at "accurate Locator" shows what Mark is talking about, didn't see anything on figure eight coil. One listed is for med or large size items.
 
Looking at there accessories, it looks like they have a 18" coil. Didnt know if it would pick up smaller objects than there big coil or not. Mark
