New Safari today

I just picked up my new Safari today at Kellyco. I will give it it's first test run tomorrow at New Smyrna Beach, Florida. I found a men's gold 10K ring last week with my Shadow X5. To be honest, it was lying on the surface in the sand. I didn't reallly need the detector. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. I'm looking for Andy Sabisch's book on the Quattro and Safari. If anyone has a copy they'd like to sell, give me a private message or respond here. Thanks all. Wish me luck with the new Safari.

Any eyeball find I get, whatever detector is in my hand at the time gets credit !!!

Have fun with that Safari...just swing it slower than that X5. That sweet high pitch sound of silver on the Safari is something you will learn fast and once your ear is tuned to it, you will know for sure when silver is under the coil. The Safari will do better than the X5 in the wet salt sand, but that X5 in the dry is a major gold jewelry finder. Those 2 units compliment each other very well.

If you were metal detecting at the time, eyeball finds count!

Congrats! You're gonna love the Safari, tho it may take a bit to get used to if youre not conversant with FBS. And for gods sake don't get the control box wet! (but you know that already)
