got my new minelab explorer se yesterday only about 2 hours on it so far still stuyding instructions and andys book all little confusing sounds pinpointing not like my xlt at all but i knew that anyway need time to learn and adapt to it got the grey ghost head phones for it thier great got pistol pro pinpointer it sucks so far im not sure its working right think ill go to the garrett ive read alot about one quater two dimes rusty nail deep can top and tin foil my treasures so far but it will come ill put the time in raining now time to read

Nothing beats time in the field...use quickstart for several weeks to get the feel and do a lot of digging...Double D coil takes some practice so hit the back yard and after a while all will fall into place..Hard to duplicate the VCO of a XLT but in time you will become proficient...Andys book sure helps but a couple of trips with a learned Explorer user will cut down on your learning period.
