FIRST FIELD TEST IS IN!
I've been out with the GT for a few times last few days and can say it is a great detector!
The GT really goes deep and when in All-Metal--it purrs nicely and remains tuned and ready for the next command. The Auto Track is great!
I always thought Sovereigns were good machines but, the GT being able to manually GB definitely gives it the edge as it appears to surpass the other Sovereigns in its ability to locate a deep target. To a manually set GB point was previously impossible with the other Sovereigns. It even appears to signal at greater depths in all-metal. The GT seems to be able to give a very good all metal signal return at depths on small coins up to 8"+.
Today, I plucked many coins from around some rope swings on old trees that I searched many years ago and never found them. Ground conditions were acidic as some of the older copper coins were eaten away. I also saw evidence of another hunter who appeared to have dug just three holes. (he obviously didn't find the coins I FOUND!
