Well, I am three quarters the way trough Andy's new book, wow what a lot to learn. I am really excited about the different settings that are supplied. I am looking forward to trying some of them. I can see the key to all of this is to get out and experiment. This book is so helpful to me, coming from my Whites M6. I rally think the settings that Bryce has in the book will be good a good one for me here in Michigan, hunting parks with a fair amount of trash, so just want to say thanks to Andy, and Bryce for helping us newbies with this kind of information, because learning this machine seems a bit overwhelming.

Steve

I appreciate the credit you gave me...but please remember all the other fellers' that shared info for Andy's book as well.:)

As for my settings...if the falsing and chirping gets to be too much...you can always drop the sensitivity a little...and the gain as well.

The key is to just "piddle" and find some that work for you in your soil and trash level.

Most of all...have fun...and give it plenty of time.

If one group of settings doesn't work...try some others until you find some that click for you.:beers:

Good luck Steve...and take care

Bryce, thanks for reply, and I was not meaning to slight any of the other contributors to Andy's book, as I will probably give all of the suggestions a try, it is so generous of all of you to provide that type of info, to us just learning. the point I was trying to make is that your settings seem to be a great starting place for me in the type of environment I will be hunting. I just have to say that the book Andy has put out is a real asset in getting started, and understanding the complexity of these machines.

Hi Steve.

I know you weren't meaning to slight anyone...and I apologize if it sounded like that.:)

On a side note...you are more than welcome for any info of mine that turns out helping you in any way.

Andy did a wonderful job gathering tons and tons of facts and knowledge for the book.

It truly benefits new users as well as experienced ones.

Anyway...I hope you find some goodies in Michigan.

Enjoy the forum here too.

There are a lot of good people here that are more than willing to share tips and help others out.

Take care

Hi Bryce,
I just got a used Explorer SE and am looking for Tony Hunts 10-6-6 program. Do you know where I can get it?
Thanks in advance.
