Hi Friend! We have been to Puerto Rico twice, once in April and once in October. April the beaches were full of trash targets and not much jewelry, October I only got to hunt for about an hour before a storm came in and the waves got too rough to hunt, but I found 2 nice rings in that hour. In April we stayed on Calebra Island and I hunted the Flamenco beach every day and night when we wern't diving and I found a 1/2 ounce medallion and one small wedding ring. The beach as I said was full of trash. In October in the short time I got to hunt there were very few trash targets and a lot of coins. I think we found about $36,00 in change, a couple silver rings and the two gold rings. Haven't been on the other island, should be ok. As far as the AT Pro goes, I took mine to Grand Cayman island in April this year and it worked flawlessly for about an hour in the salt water, and about 15 minutes in the dry sand for a second hunt before it went crazy. Luckilly I too my Excal II with me as well as my F75 LTD. This was my third AT Pro, and it's replacement has been At Garretts for over a week now. When it works you will be amazed, when it goes out it's gone. There are still a lot of bugs in them. Set you ground balance manually to 13-17, sensitivity down a couple notches under full, and hunt in Pro Mode Zero and have fun. It will hit as hard on a target as my Excal II, with the advantage of digital readout. If you get a chance, take the ferry over to Calebra and hit Flamenco beach. If you want I can send you a list of beaches and some details that I researched before we went. If I go back it will be in the fall again. Seems to be better conditions. Good luck and happy hunting! Earl Johnson.
