Welcome! I'm sure you will enjoy it here

Thanks so much..Yes I do have a detector(s)..Ive been in the hobby about 11 yrs.And hopefully another 11.I currently am running a few Tesoro's and other brands..I am looking @ getting the Outlaw soon..I was doing some research on the outlaw and that is how I came across this forum..Glad i found this..Cant seem to find a lot of people around to share this great hobby with.I am a relic, coin hunter and thinking on getting in the water this year also for some rings and jewlery..Nice talking to you guys..thanks

I am going to say, just don't ask if a Tesoro is good.We here on the forum really don't care for Tesoro detectors. We used them as kids and can't get used to the flashy new type technology. So from kids to adults we are stuck with boring metal detectors with no big digital screens to look at.And don't get lost looking for treasure with a Tesoro, cause it ain't got no gps, heck we can't even get a volume knob. All the good detectors don't even got a ground balance and you think Tesoro is going to hook us up with a gps. So we are stuck. You know,we are like the old people that never could figure out a vcr .I could go on,but running out of room on my phone.Never could learn a computer. If you
you want to be like us stuck,Then go ahead. No flashy screens,no fancy music,no night lights,no nothing.I'm out of room.Welcome

welcome , feel free to ask questions and show you finds, and your methods of hunting , we need input always.

Hi Thanks for the kind words. When I got into this hobby 11 years ago.Luckily I had a local dealer near by.He sold Whites,Garrett's,Fisher and Tesoro. My first machine was a freedom ace and eventually have tried most brands over the years.I bought a Cortes 4 yrs ago and acquired a Tejon and com padre not long after. The Cortes is a great coin hunter for those worked out parks. The Tejon I bought for field use as another relic hunter.I don't have many hours on the Tejon yet...So the jury is still out on that one (lots of power) I feel it has a little to much gain right from the get go....Compadre......well lets just say I cant believe how great this little kid is on coins and jewelry.

Welcome to the forum Matt. Bunch of great guys here that will help you with any questions you have.
