Hi, I am new to the forum and thinking about buying a a 70/705. I have downloaded Diggers e-book and in the process of understanding the x-terra range of machines. I have been detecting for around 12 years using a Laser B3 and mainly Sov xs pro. What are the main differences in actual use bet6ween the sov and xt 70/705. Any of your thoughts greatly received. Thanks xray
 
The Xterra will be lighter, faster swing speed, and faster recovery and is a great detector. The Sov. will outshine it on wet salt beaches due to the BBS technology it uses.

The main reason that you'd buy the X-Terra, would be, if you simply want a light fun detector to swing. The Sov is a better detector, but if you want a light dector, then the X-Terra fits that gap very nicely.Also, the notching can be quite useful, if you only feel like cherry picking on a particular day.
