New White's Machine ??

A dealer ( to protect him, I am not saying who ).. told me about White's coming out with possible two new machines in late March.??...is this true or a rumor ? Inquiring minds want to know

TRUE...
The New 4 and a few cheaper units...
A LOT of time and R & D went into the 4...
Menus - Easier to navigate
Wireless etc

I'm hoping for a waterproof M6 or MX5. White's answer to the Garrett AT Pro and hopefully in the same price range.

Bring out a new updated 6000 pro analog....
Quicker recovery and target response and 2 tone id..
Hey I can wish.....lol

At this point in detecting..I do not think any progressive company can go backwards... Foreign markets with innovative ideas, and American markets with all new designs, and abilities almost demand that progress forward is the rule of the day..

We have one American company now sorta stuck in the past..and their future is on the line I would say.. As we all know the V3i had moderate success.. Not saying it was a bad detector.Far from that in fact. But there was a strong learning curve for moderate at best abilities........

I suspect Whites will come out with something that will be in competition with all other companies. I would say they almost have too..

This is a personal opinion only..No inside information at ALL............ They have to have a successful detector in the top end, or a very good middle of the market detector that generates BIG sales.

Cannot see it happening Whites bringing out a new model at the moment,if they bring another machine out on the lines of the V3 range with its complicated controls then sales will plummet even further, they need to concentrate on a main every day use detector rather than niche sectors as these sectors dont generate the main revenue. Also the lower end of the market is swamped with detectors,so the only way forward to survive as a company is make another new total replacement for say the MXT that was a top revenue earner for the company so hence the need another block buster like that one.

These detecting companies that just re-badge say a older model hoping that they can sell it as a total new machine are destined to not be around in 5 years time as the new overseas detector makers will kill the once all mighty US makers of detectors,i dont personally see the same amount od old brand names being around for ever either as i think they will have to consolidate or go by the wayside, the market is not big enough to have all these many detector makers bringing out expensive machines.

Hearing news from a dealer i would tend to take with a pinch of salt,if Whites have a new machine i am sure that they would have started drip feeding a little news out to the news media or social media in general a long time prior to the launch of a new model in March sometime.

My personal opinion is that although i am a avid Whites fan and also a few other top brand makes as well, consolidation will come with the well known brand names still being around but made by just a few bug companies,FT was the 1st and i am almost certain it will continue down that consolidation route over the next 5-10 years.

Of course i could be wrong but its all ready started to happen with the 2 latest companies joining together to produce a new racier model.

If they are headed in the same direction with their future detectors as the trx pinpointer, then they have my interest....

shhhttt...

have heard the rumor about the " MXT All Pro + "
They added 3 selectable frequencies & adjustable ground balance.

...oh wait, think I had a surreal dream....

Water machine similar to the MX5 is on the way, according to my dealer. Hope so.

Mary at whites service center , told me when I was asking about my 6000 pro xl that was in for repair, that whites is throwing around the idea of coming out with a new analog machine in the future..it could be in the works..

Its all hearsay, all these folks at either Whites or the dealers that provide these types of rumours must be told different variations then, and if a new machine was coming too market then the news or rumours would be channeled through main socail media outlets rather than someone who works for a local detector shop.

Will any major new Whites machine come to the market this year i doubt it very much.
