New WS5 - how do I pair it to my Controller or is it the Coil?

I have an XP Deus with WS 4 set up. Over the winter I picked up a used WS5 headset. I updated to V4.1 and got the rig out yesterday to set up. My controller recognizes the coil and I can hear out of the WS 4 as per normal. When I tried to use the WS5, no sound. I am assuming I have to pair. The question is, do I pair it with the controller or do I have to pair it to the coil first, the have the headset on when I turn on the control. I know it is working if the headset option is only volume vice all the rest of the options.

Can someone advise?

Pair the headphones with the coil number, there is a video on the XP Skill School that explains the process.
