New X-Terra 705 gets silver and a first !!

Got a chance to hunt an old church with my friend Roy today. He was trying out his new SE Pro and I had my new X-terra 705. This place has only given up a few coins but they are usually good ones. Roy had previously found a SLQ there and a few IH's. My only coin today was this 1892 Barber Quarter.

I also found what I believe to me a mini-ball but I have never found one before so I'm not sure. Here is a photo of it with a penny for reference. Had a chalky white crust on it. I guess you can tell I'm not a relic guy !!!

Any help on ID would be helpful.

If you could only find one coin, that one was a good one to find! Congratulations!

Thanks ... I think that we have only pulled 8 coins out of there since we started hunting it. They were all silver and IH's except for a couple of pennys.

Quarters are nice, silver is better and old silver quarters are the best! Congrats on the finds. HH Randy

Can't tell what caliber...but you have a musket ball. Minie balls (aka three ringers) is the predecessor of a modern bullet shape. Nice finds!

Thanks for the info Keith ... I don't know anything about stuff like that, I have always just hunted for coins.
