Went to a home I have been wanting to get permission and never anyone home. Saturday noticed a car there and went to ask permission and owner said go right ahead :detecting: He said home was built around 1905 and was a farm then. There is a large front yard and back yard as well. It took me 3 hours to get about 3/4 of the front yard done. Cannot wait to go back and hit the rest.
First signal was a nickel reading about 6 inches; up came a buffalo. Thought alright there is old coins here and now I am hoping for silver. Then starting digging wheat pennies and the Indian. Funny thing about this yard is one side of the yard the soil is very dark and loose. A lot of the Wheaties were at 8 and 9 inches.

Finally got that warble and a Mercury came up; then another. More Wheats and then the Roosies came up. I was rushing in the end and was digging only twangs and got the Quarter just before I left.

The Chinese coin was only a few inches. This is the 2nd Chinese coin I have found. It looks pretty old.

Total for this yard so far:

1964d Quarter
1917 1940 Mercurys
1946 1954d Roosies
1915 Buffalo unk other
1906 1907 Indian Heads
Wheats: 1909 1910 1917(3) 1917d 1918(3) 1918s 1919 1920 1925 1927(2) 1928 1928s 1941(3) 1944(3) 1951
Clad Quarter
3 Clad Dimes
7 Memorials
