I've been lurking forever and posting (every once in a great while) under my hubby, 7centworth. I hesitated to get my own account because technically, I don't metal detect. I do love to watch Travis hunt, but it's really not my thing. Everyone here seems like such a family and we can never have enough Christian friends, so I thought I would join too. :clapping: And because Lisa made me (just kidding). I figured if I could lurk, I could post. So here's my official HOWDY Y'ALL!

Hi Liz,

Good to have you with us. Right now I don't metal detect either. You are right...we are family here...all having the same Father. Always loved your posts so glad to see you with your own name...which I love to 4EverHis102399. God bless you and yours Liz

Glad to have you here as an official member! Looking forward to your posts. Ok now if ya don't detect what hobbies do you have?

Mike

Welcome my dear , when I seen the newbie i was shocked to see my name attached. I did not knowe she was going to register even though I told her to. The numbers on her name is our wedding date. I have an extra detector and hopefully she will eventually use it. She takes most of the pictures I post and she resizes all the pictures I post. I will give her a official welcome kiss after while:crazy:.

for all the welcome wishes! I do feel like I know you all already and have prayed for you all many times. I slipped on here and registered while my darling hubby was snoozin' on the couch (he does that well) and suprised him.

Mike-I have many hobbies, but with the hectic life I have chosen for myself lately, don't get time to do much for fun. I love being outdoors (camping, walking, GARDENING and four-wheeling), cooking, reading and learning almost anything, and photography (mostly nature). Also love to go to concerts and take roadtrips.

You got some good hobbies there, even though you don't like the best hobby ever invented! :twodetecting::detecting:

My wife is much like you...no desire to detect, but she does get excited for me when I find something decent. :)

Welcome Liz....I welcomed you on another post but didn't know it was you! Sure glad to have you posting regularly with us with 4everHis as your posting name! Now isn't it great to know that we are forever His, Who is by faith our Heavenly Father, Lord of lords and King of kings! Oh by the way I don't detect much anymore so you can include me in with those who don't go :detecting: May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

Liz! I'm soooo happy you finally bit the bullet and joined! Now that I have succeeded in getting you on here, I can put away that cattle prod! ;-)

Lisa

Outdoors? Walking? Four wheeling? Reading? Learning? Nature photography? Concerts? Road trips? LIZ!!!!! I believe we must be twins that were separated at birth (disregard the fact that I'm a lot older than you)!!!!!!!! I enjoy ALL of those things, as well as hiking, canoes/kayaking, flea markets, history, treasure hunting of all kinds, football and baseball. Got any nature photography you want to share with us?

Lisa

WELCOME TO THE FAMILY LIZ!!!! You never know, you might break down and like detecting too. Joan, my wife does not care much for detecting either.

Haha, Lisa! It seems like we do have a lot of the same interests. I've always been a farm girl and grew up outdoors. Didn't have any brothers to help dad farm and as the oldest of three girls, I was daddy's farm hand. I suspect you, like me, aren't too much of a girly girl? I can be...love a good shopping trip every now and then, etc., but for the most part, I always hung out with the guys when I was younger. Thanks for putting away your cattle prod....ouch! That woulda hurt.

Hey Dk! Thanks for the welcome. Didn't you say awhile back that Joan would be attending the forum hunt? I am also hoping to attend.....tell her we can pull up a couple of chairs together and talk the day away! I wasn't planning on "trying" to hunt, thought I would bring a good book and sit in the shade somewhere.

When you read a post, then scroll down and you can reply directly to their post and they will know that your reply is to them. If you make new posts under your own, people won't know that you are replying to them unless they read all of them. This is just to help you and others. Don't feel bad as others do it too.
If you need any help just give a shout.

God bless.

Mike

Hi Liz....My wife Lana dosen't metal detect either but we are camping as I write this...I'm hoping one day she will md it's so much fun,she also likes my finds and has lots of interest.....welcome and God Bless....Dan

Nope, I've never been a girlie girl either. Like you, I grew up in the country and on a farm. Got married and still live in the country and on a farm. It's all I've ever known and wouldn't trade it for anything. I don't like the city - at all. I don't have any brothers either; only one sister who is 12 years older than me. I grew up working with cows, horses, pigs, chickens, etc. Worked in the fields, drove tractors, baled hay, fished (caught an 11 pound bass one time & an 18 pound catfish), rode bicycles on old dirt roads, played football, baseball and softball in the yard and pastures with friends. Caught lightening bugs at night and June bugs in the daytime. Hung out with just as many guy friends as girl friends. Not a lot has changed! Ha! I really don't care much for shopping unless I'm on a mission for something I want. I reckon I'm missing that female shopping gene. However, I do love going to flea markets! I can shop at flea markets all day long and never get tired of it!
