News Flash Minelab Obsoletes All Single Freq VLF Detectors in Latest "The Searcher " UK mag

Not surprising that ML's new machine would be a "multifreaker" - one freq at a time VLF's hit the wall a decade ago - no real progress except in imterface and ergonomics are likelympossible with that technology.

ML, Fisher and Whites are the only companies with successful "multifreakers" and they are all overdue introducing the next step - looks like ML might be first!

What.....AGAIN? :heh:

Just kidding...... :ranting:

Increase the recovery speed (by a good margin), keep the ID solid & drop a couple lbs and I'll buy it.

I do not get excited when any company starts advertising a new item Worked retail for many years. One of the Major firearms manufacturer started advertising a new Shotgun that would shoot all shot shells from the lightest loads to the three and a half heavy loads without having to make any adjustments to the firearm.

they invited a bunch of sporting goods buyers for major retailers to a dove shoot. Gave each one a New firearm and appropriate shells for the hunt.

Shortly after the doves started flying into the field they discovered that their hot new shotgun would not eject the empty and in essence they had a single shot shotgun instead of a semiautomatic. It took them an additional six months to get the firearm to function as design (Most of the time)

So I wait until a new product has proven itself to be reliable and capable of doing what it is advertised to do.

I have been thinking all along that if anything their wording is challenging the idea of a single VeryLowFrequency with a multiple VeryHighFrequency and then
see this another site from a somewhat inside track. Adds some meat to the Minelab/Deus lawsuit:clap:

"That's what I pointed out in another thread... a New VLF Hybrid tech - an auto switching and simultaneous VLF/BBS system in a platform like nothing we've seen so far...think bicycle helmets...in a really strong carbon fibre plastic mix. Twin coil processors DPT (dual processor technology) - one to process the ground signal only and auto GB the entire time to negate minerals - the other working in tandem with multiple processors in the tiny control box to focus on the target signal to produce finer / cleaner target ID's. In essence a huge improvement on their VFLEX system which by now is 'old hat technology' anyway. Such a device could kill off the French miracle in one fell swoop? "

"

No The company originated in the US. Then For a long time make guns in Belgium. Then a French company bought them and had the shotguns made in Japan.
Not sure who owns the company now but the gun was Made in Belgium.

The company makes some very expensive shotguns. At least more expensive than my wallet can handle.

...but you needed to change a spacer around (on the A5) going from low velocity to high.
