Ni-Cad charge times

Hi Folks,
After reading up quite a bit in the Infinium LS I went by AK Mining today and picked one up. On opening the box I see there's a ni-cad battery pack. Just wanted to ask what the recommended time to leave on the charger. There's not a word about battery care in the manual.

If your battery is down to a single beep when detector is turned on it takes about 8 hours to fully charge. Used to be a statement to that effect on the wall charger but I have looked at one in a while.

Thanks, Steve. That's what I needed to know. I didn't want to risk over-charging.
