Nice gold ring

Gday :ausflag:

Went for a quick hunt this morning and was lucky to dig a nice little diamond and sapphire ring :spin:
These days I am spoilt for choice but grabbed my old mate the Xterra70 ...I cover more ground with it as the Etrac needs to be swung slowly.
It has been a while since a gold ring appeared - silver has been rolling in steadily but gold has been elusive.
I have been digging quite a lot of 5cent coins ( TID no.8 ) lately in the hope of a 9k ring and today it finally paid off.
The assay mark is Birmingham (England) and the year 1972. The makers mark is A & Co - does anyone know that is ?
Happy swinging all.
