I found a virgin homestead last Tuesday and got some buttons and other pieces of history and so far, one great shape KGIII copper...This site has a nice refuse pile loaded with clam and oyster shells, and most items including the coin were found in the refuse area, not near the cellarhole.

Don I'm so jelous you are digging down there, its a freaking frozen glacier up here with snow piled 2 foot deep. Nice spot, dig up a chain cent or maybe a disme!!!

Those are terrific Relics and the Coin looks to be in very good condition. WTG! It sure must be fun digging those kind of old Relics and such that goes way back into the 1700's and early 1800's. Hope this spot of yours keeps producing more great finds and Good Luck and HH.

Your soil looks to be kind to those coppers, not like our acid NH soil. Ron

I sure wish they had some of those in my neck of the woods but it's not likely as that is over 100 years before my town was established. Good job!
