Use a book on english hammered coins, also minelab owners forum, there are a few people on there who are very good at idents.Henry 11 only sat on the throne for 9 years, which helps.

Cleaned some of my coins dating from hadrian roman(190 ad), through to 1600's,heres a pic, hope you enjoy!

The top one is a commonwealth penny,3rd row are charles 1,they cut his head off then formed the commonwealth!
The second row are elisabeth 1,the 'virgin queen',circa 1570.
The last coin is roman, the row above all 1100/1200 ad,different kings.

You gotta wish you lived in jolly ole England when you see these ground fishing catches....

Very nice...

Nice finds geoff. Boy I get excited just finding a dime from 1939! Wish I could go with you a few days.My oldest coin to date is a 1864 indian head penny. Thanks for the pics.Have a great day.

One of my favourite coins is a liberty walking half dollar,no chance of finding one here, but all your american silver is stunning.

Very nice, and you found those with your Safari? May I ask what settings you used to
find these beautiful coins?

I go with conductive sounds, all metal, deap hammered silver coins come in from 8 to 20,but small ones can read minus 1 or 2,so any minus numbers with a low growl I dig,iff theres loads of trash I use trash high.

Great finds neat coins I went back to hunting in conductive instead of ferrous not as low as you are I seem to like it better.

Latest find in a field consists of a 3x3 rockery pt full of silver coinage from the Roman era... Value is undetermined but is multiple millions....

Wow and we get excited over a single penny from the 1700's.....

Location location, location.... ugh!!!

great find! we get excited about late 1800's stuff-finding something like that would be unimaginable! Keep on diggin!

Standard coil, abuot 4 or 5 inches deep, good steady signal at 11-11,out of the soil it gives 12 -14, its diameter is 12mm.it woke me up when I first saw it!
