please!! Isn't technology great, just knowing that an "amateur" with a modest budget today can do what you say blows my mind!
My buddy and I tried out the Explorer a couple years ago and compared it to the CZ's for iron handling. We did not see enough difference to warrant the curve everyone said you had to go thru to get the deep stuff and stuck with the CZ.
Mostly we hunt older sites with little modern trash and dig it all whether we are using an ID machine or not. For that the Advantage works great with no learning curve which fits my KISS princple just fine.
As far as depth, The ADvantage with the big coil ID's ferrous from non-ferrous deeper than any detecor I have used, which is all I need.
