No emi issue hunt makes for a pleasant time.:fisher:

Took my new version 75 out to the old demoed military housing site this morning. Hadn't been there with it and wanted to check out whether this new version would allow me to hunt under and along power lines on one end that in the past caused heavy emi issues on my other two 75's, regular and LTD camo, as well as my first Omega. Very pleased to find and say it did not have one speck of emi chatter the whole 5 hours I hunted. Had on the small 5" coil as the site is a bed of trash and ran 0 disc., 3h tones, DE mode and sen. up to max. Did most of my hunting, however, at 75 to 80 do to all the trash.

Some of you may recall from some of my past year's posts with my other 75's that this spot has been hunted hard from the mid 80's through the present and I myself have put in untold hours on it. Over the past couple of years it had gotten pretty lean yielding much of anything. Oh, there are still some goodies there, but masking is a real problem. Much to my surprise, though, this morning, I dug 60 coins. Although only one silver, a 37 Washington, and 8 wheat cents, all 40's and 50's, I did dig enough clad and cents to keep it interesting and considerably more then typical on other more recent hunts. Whether it was this new DST version or the very moist ground from a good soaking rain it recently had had, or a combination of both, digging those numbers of good targets was a total surprise. Again, maybe it was the wet ground and not having to deal with emi chatter, but with the 5" coil I dug 3 coins this morning in the 7- 8" depth range (per the Pro pin pointer) and it popped them good. I just don't recall getting that kind of depth with my other LTD and 5" coil previously.

Anyway, thus far I am liking what I am seeing with this F 75. HH all, jim tn

Is that a steel penny and how did it ring up?

Good hunt....I also have the new F75 ltd II and I am totally impressed with it's capabilities. It is by far the best Fisher I have had.

Beyonder, it's not a steel cent. Just a normal wheat back in decent shape and in the right light. Paul (IL), I agree, these new version 75's are pretty impressive. Thanks all, HH jim tn

My son and his family came over last night and my grand daughter spotted the watch and wanted it. Although I had cleaned it up a little it was still pretty tacky. Anyway, if she hadn't grabbed it before I saw your post I would have sent it to you. I am glad my grand daughter had an interest in it, but it was pretty well trashed. HH jim tn

I've been playing with the 5" coil on my Racer. This weekend I'm planning to hit an early 18o0's adobe site and think I'll test the 5" coil on both the F75 and the Racer to see which one is better in heavy trash :pinnochio
