Hi all! hope your digs have been good ones. I have had several digs, all minor but no complaints. It has been unusually warm here in the middle. The other day it was a 35 mph wind and no one would go digging. The sky looked great at dawn. I had full permission ...time to head out.

I was working a hay field that covered hundreds of acres. Looking for the lost camp, the lost treasure!

Not a soul in sight, the ground was damp and the signals going a foot deep. I was in sight of a house and spring almost 200 yrs old. Shotgun shells.
And then wouldn't you know it I got a solid signal like a beer can or belt plate. But it wasn't shallow and there was almost no trash in this field. I dug down about a foot. . . . . .

My knees went weak as a shot of adrenaline jolted through me at the sight of a brass oval plate of some kind !!! Looks like a box plate .... or perhaps a CS Breckinridge!
