No Luck...This Time

I got some info on where some old R/R houses were. asked for permission and got it. So Tues. I went and hit the woods. I soon found out that that was no small task!
as you can see in the picture it was very brushy. Not only that ,but junk iron was everywhere. About 40 yards in I came across the slab filled with old iron.
The axe head was about a foot away. no treasures ,but plenty of exercise and fresh air. It was good to get out of the house. I found out later the place i was supposed to be detecting
was on the other side of the R/R tracks from where i was ,and was cleared..lol.. oh well, thats another adventure.

Sounds like it could be a good spot, though. I would hit the other side before the brush starts blooming in the spring. Woods that have seen activity can be a literal bonanza for good finds if one is willing to deal with the challenge of woods hunting. Good luck! HH jim tn

sometimes thats the place I put on the small coil after snagging all those saplings- sumac likes to take over around old cellar holes- but that doesnt mean you cant find a coin there, let us know how you do on the other side of the tracks, Good Luck, CO

I was using the 5"DD but it proved too hot, so i went back to stock. there was tons of aluminum slaw, cans, junk iron. got tons of places, and lil time, :sadwalk:

I was doing a cellar hole full of metal once, full disc and very little sense, and couldnt shake the overload. CO

Lol! what you cant see is the briars and thorny vines.. the soil was soft and GB'ed at 64. but the roots were thick. :surrender:

New meaning to the wrong side of the tracks LOL looks like you found some neat stuff . Good luck with the other site
